To fuel or not to fuel for a Sprint

Message posted by: M .

Hi everyone,

I recently finished my 3rd Tri and actually cut my time by 11 mins. from last year. I was pretty pleased based on the conditions and my equipment. I have really tried to read up on what makes a successful race and one point that has come up lately is that for Sprint distances we really don't have to worry too much about fueling up during the race. Mostly be concerned with hydration. I would like to hear your opinions? Right now I spend between 1:30 – 2 hrs. racing depending on the distances.

Thanks for your thoughts – Maresa
