Glad to be in one piece

So i just moved back down to my college town for the school year and the weather wasnt soo good this week but i decided that i wanted to ride today to get some miles in. I've only been on one trail in this town so i decided to find a new one.

3.5 miles into this new route, i was hoping to get in 40-45 miles, i think i was going about 9-10 mph up a little hill to the right. as i was staying on my side 2 bikers come blazing down this hill and all i see is the first swerve, but he swerves right into me…head on…

i dont remember if i was in my aero bars or not but i went down and took most of the collision. my teeth went right into his cheek. all he got was a flat front tire. i lost both brakes have a huge raspberry on my back and can't lift my head up past eye-level. he didnt have a helemt on but i did and i think that may have saved some other serious damage. my aerobars went right 180 degrees to about 90.

as were walking the 3.5 miles back to the start i find out that the guy he was riding with he didnt know and was trying to pass him a few times but that guy didnt let him pass because he kept speeding up when getting passed but he finally did but it was too late.

i hope the repair cost isnt too great…being a college kid and all but ill let you know how it goes and how i recover.

Swim practice starts tomorrow….ahh….hopefully i can move!
