First tri bike

Hey guys I'm new to triathalon. I just registered for Nautica NYC '08 and I have to say I'm pretty excited. Just to be able to tell myself that I finished that race is something I can't wait for. My least experience as far as the events would be the road biking aspect. I have some pretty decent knowledge regarding mountain bikes but this is a whole different ball game. If you guys could make some suggestions regarding bikes and bike brands to look at for a somewhat decent price hopefully under 2 grand because I'm sure once I do a few races I will probably then be ready to graduate to a better bike, I would really appreciate it. I'm excited to read all your posts, and all of you seem genuinely happy to do what you do, thats how I know I am meeting a group of like minded health conscious people. Thank you guys again I'm looking forward to being active on the website!
