Most popular bike at Kona; but the fastest???

I know that Kona 2007 is already over a month behind but I know that many of us still talk about it and since we are all gear heads I suspect that at least one other person has thought about this. The list below is a count of the top bike brands by representation at 2007 Kona (for proper credit I got this off of Triathlete magazine). I was talking bikes and Kona with someone over a ride this weekend and he brought up this list stating that because Cervelo had the most bikes at Kona that it is the best bike(s) for IM triathlons. I quickly rebutted that it was only the most "popular" not necessarily the "best". Much of this has to do with a good product combined with fantastic marketing.
I would be curious to know what is the "best" bike for IM Kona based on some scientific research. For example does anyone know what bikes hold the top 10 bike splits for pro men, pro women, AG men, and AG women.
Before anyone goes off on "it depends on the rider". I understand that is the majority of the speed equation; I still am curious what bike brands and models hold some of the fastest IM Kona times.
Anyone willing to chime in on some no Kona IMs would be greatly welcomed as well.
