Can someone give me their opinion on specific tri training exercises vs. doing cardio kickboxing, spin, etc. classes? When training for sprint and olympic distance tris this summer, is it beneficial to mix those types of classes in with my swim, bike and run training? Or is it not? For example, I am currently training for a half marathon (in 3 weeks)and tonight I went to a cardio kickboxing class. Was it a waste of time? Should I have been running? Or do those types of activities also help? Any feedback appreciated.
