I only starting running distance about 3 years ago after I had a biking accident that kept me off the road for a few weeks. Broken clavical/surgery/steel plate. I’ve begun to experience fatigue and pain in my shoulders after 10-12 miles. I had run 17 on 3/15 with some pain, but this past Friday, while going for 20, I was stopped in my tracks at 13.5 from unbearable shoulder muscle pain. My breathing, heart rate, and strength were fine.

I have not done weights in years but obviously need to now. Is there a specific type of weight training that will improve this situation? I do swim about one mile 2-3 per/week. Completing my first marathon on April 26 is on the line.
