run vs. bike

during training rides over 1 hour i really feel like i need carbs. i’ve been trying to wait until 1 1/2 hour to start. but on runs i don’t seem to have the same problem. recently i’ve done a 2 hour and a 2 1/2. with no problem. both bike and runs were max hr in the mid 130s. i’m not sure whats the difference. any help?
