running question

I have been hearing a lot about forefoot running lately. Do any of you practice this?
I understand that you don’t want a heelstrike, but wouldn’t this type of running be stressful to your calves? Are you really running on the balls of your foot?
I would like to give it a try though when my foot heals up from plantar’s fasciitis and was wondering if anyone has tips for easing into this type of running style???
