run training – how often

My running pace over 10K to a Half Marathon is around 8:30-8:40 per mile. I typically do one LSD run on a Sunday morning (15-18K) and maybe a temp run in mid week (10K), Any more than that and I find I start to get too many aches, pains and real or potential injuries. And yes I have good shoes, new ones regularly etc etc. The rest of the week I swim at lunch and bike every other session.
I want to improve my running endurance, and while I know the biking will contribute, I was wondering how often you guys’n'gals run, how far and do you suffer from any issues (running related!) and how do you mitigate them?
