marathon approaching soon…not prepared!

Payback: Straight Up – The Director’s Cut on dvd Well I have completed 3 marathons and have already signed up for my 4th (4/11/09). In the past I had a 16 week training plan and did every run. This year I was on a 14 week plan (waited on the new year to start). I had hit every run all the way to my 18 miler, and then IT issues. I took 10 days off from running and will ease back in tomorrow I hope. I’m going to do some short runs this week and try for a 10-13 miler on Saturday, if the week goes well on the leg.
I have already missed one 20 miler because of this issue, and my 2nd and only other 20 miler this year is next weekend (3/21), and then the taper begins. Here is what the rest of my training looks like before the race:
3/14-suppose to be 16, but I’m going to cut it to 10-13 due to the week off and IT issues
Stone Cold dvdrip 3/21-20 miler
3/28-12 miler…I may make it a 16 miler
4/4-8 miler…I may do 10
4/11-RACE
I guess I will just go take it easy this time and not try for a PR. I guess I just wanted any advise because I have never gone into a race so unprepared, but I have also never had any injuries that sidelined me for a week in the middle of training. Should I try to find another 20 miler before the race and cut one of the taper runs or should I just plan to run this nice and slow and not worry bout PRing? Disappointing because my previous 3 races and every tri I have ever completed I PR’ed each time, so this will be my first setback!
