My husband was suppose to run in the Myrtle Beach marathon yesterday, but they decided Friday night at 10:30p.m. to cancel due to the weather. Now we are originally from IL so one inch of snow is no big deal to us. We just don’t understand why they didn’t try any other options before calling the whole thing off. If they would have just delayed it an hour it would have been fine. The sun was shining and the snow had all melted by about 10 am. We just think it is ridiculous. We could understand if there was actually a blizzard, but one inch-come on!!! Needless to say, all the time training and money was wasted. We will never go back!
