marathon nutrition

I have got a place in the London Marathon after trying for 3 years. Which was very exciting until I realised I now have to run 26 miles! This time 18 months ago I could run 1 mile! Anyway, I have been building to a half marathon and using SIS gels (with caffeine) as SIS are the only products my stomach gets on with, but although for a 12 mile run I will have porridge with honey and a banana 2 1/2 hrs before, a gel or an energy bar 30mins before and then 2 gels whilst running, I am starving after 11 miles- my stomach is rumbling like mad!
I am a bit concerned about how to manage this when doing the marathon; would it be better to eat more beforehand, or more when running? I eat like a horse generally; usually about 4 decent size meals a day plus snacks, so am not short of food intake in general although my lifestyle is a bit hectic and I am a bit hyper so I do tend to burn it off! but I don’t think that I am not eating enough; my weight is pretty stable and I am not thin! Any nutrition advice is welcome; I am a bit concerned about running out of fuel on the run!!
