off the bike and into the run

Okay, seriously, I need to know. How is it that you speedy runners can maintain that fast pace off the bike in Ironman. I wasn’t the fastest runner prior to my accident, I was mediocre. However since my accident the one discipline that has suffered greatly has been my run. I have a wonky gait now because my left side is pinned. If you were to just watch me run, you may not notice it, but I of course do. I have run 5 marathons, numerous half’s, 10Ks, ect..but, I am a bit worried about my Ironman run. I am just praying that I won’t be in excruciating pain for an entire marathon…
